At Everything To Sea, we’ve always been a little too naked for the comfort of corporate overlords. And apparently, “liberation of the male body” is just too scandalous for Instagram, Facebook, and yes—even Telegram. They police our skin, erase our freedom, and pretend men’s bodies are dangerous. We say: that’s exactly why they matter.
When you put a group of men on a boat for several days with no TV, something magical happens: conversations turn into adventures of their own. That’s exactly what unfolded when co-founder Dave sat down with Ray and Dean, a couple celebrating both twenty years together and a milestone birthday, during our Everything To Sea cruise. What started as a chat about what kind of “show” this trip would be (spoiler: White Lotus, but without the deaths) turned into reflections on naked firsts, unexpected camaraderie, and the kind of mental photos you can’t capture on an iPhone.
There’s something undeniably electric about being the only naked one in the room. It’s not just about nudity—it’s about contrast, vulnerability, power, curiosity… and sometimes, arousal. An article we found on deviantart.com (slightly edited for readability) dives deep into CMNM—Clothed Male / Naked Male. It’s a fascinating dynamic where layers of clothing reveal much more than they hide. Whether playful, accidental, fetishistic, or rooted in long-standing male rituals, CMNM sheds light on the way men connect, challenge, and charge the air between them.
As the old saying goes, “A rising tide lifts all boats.” Well, that’s a wrap on our brief dive into the world of penile erections, courtesy of Medical News Today. Who knew that cornflakes were once touted as a masturbation deterrent, or that the penis could actually break? We certainly didn’t! But hold on, there’s more to discover about the schlong in this article. Keep reading, and you’ll look at your breakfast — and your pecker — a little differently.
This blog post explores different aspects of growing up male, erotic orientation, and what it means to have a healthy sexuality. It’s not always easy for guys to find their way through gender and sexual realms. Check out this article found on kimberlykeiser.com, which explores these themes.
We recently were buzzing around Quora.com killing some time, and found this lightbulb joke (we love lightbulb jokes!)
“Help! My Husband Enjoys Sailing Naked and Drinking Beers With Gay Men. What do you think this could mean?”
We found the above question in the advice column known as “Dear Prudence” in Slate Magazine. Check out the full query, below… and Prudence’s response, afterwards:
Have you ever wondered why guys avoid being naked in locker rooms? Is it about society’s rules? How we’re raised? Perhaps, a sign of the changing times? Check out this article we found on the subject – edited for brevity – by Kevin Frye on medium.com.
Hungry for some good musing about food and men? Check out this article from GQ.com. It suggests that men may define themselves by their tolerance for spice. The author wonders why this has become such a common trend in our gender. Does it make men look more travelled, cultured or classy? Or is it nothing more than a culinary dick-swinging contest?
Co-founder Dave interviews Bruce, a true renaissance man. A former policeman in New Zealand, he later began a career as a fisherman, and operates an emergency aid service, too. Bruce owns two fishing boats, loves jewelry (specifically, diamonds), and recently completed his second trip with Everything To Sea.
David and Auston from TwoBadTourists.com recently wrote about our newest offering, The Naked Thai Villa, on the island of Phuket. Sure, the blog reprint below is about us… but in the end, it could be about you. Check out the reading… and then consider checking out our actual trip…
We really enjoy getting to know the guys who join our trips through deep conversations. We’d love to share this honest conversation between Everything To Sea and Ric, a traveler who came aboard our boat in October 2022. Ric is a freight operations manager (choo-choo!) who loves spending his free time camping naked in the bush of Australia. He inspired us with his story and we’d like to highlight him in this post as part of our blog series called “Meet Another Everything To Sea Traveler.”
At Everything To Sea, we sometimes get inquiries from guys who want to be naked with other men, but they’re holding back due to fear of rejection. We’re proud to provide a body-positive space for all men to engage in social nudity, free of judgment to others. But what about judging yourself? Giving yourself a break from self-criticism is extremely freeing and empowering. Envision a future where every body belongs.
Despite the body-positive movement mostly being focused on women, it’s important to acknowledge that men have body image struggles, too. Unfortunately they’re not as openly discussed or diagnosed. One condition in particular is disproportionally affecting men, accelerated by gym culture and fitness influencers. Read more in the following excerpt from a mental health article by VeryWell Mind.
At Everything To Sea, we sometimes get inquiries from guys that are along these lines: “I’m dreaming of joining a trip, but I’m worried I won’t fit in because of my age.” The fact is, men from every decade join our trips. And we’ve found that everyone has something to contribute, which ultimately forms a unique voyage. From muscles and eye-candy, to knowledge and experience and depth, to humor and positive attitude, it’s our firm belief that every man who comes aboard our ship is interesting on some level. And it’s the variety of backgrounds and life experiences that make each of our trips memorable and fun.
Aging is a topic that’s normally perceived as negative… and related to loss. But there are legitimate, positive gains to growing older – though often overlooked or downplayed. We enjoyed this article from Outside Magazine, which talks “on the harder-to-measure benefits of age and experience.” It dives into scientifically measured benefits of growing older. We hope you enjoy this blog post – why don’t you tell us your reaction, in the Comments section, below!
We round up five modern-day homosexually-charged flicks that proudly and unabashedly show off… the goods.
Get Your Dream Relationship by Setting Boundaries
If you’ve gone through our website, you know that our most unique offering (in fact, we’re the only company in the world that offers this!) is Your Private Journey. So hopefully, you’ve heard about Your Private Journey. Now, what about Your Dream Relationship? In this post, we discuss something we can’t set up for you: this one, you’ve got to do yourself. Read on, for tips on how to get Your Dream Relationship.
The fact is, boundaries are essential in healthy partnerships. And we each have our own set of boundaries – whether we’re fully conscious of them or not. For example, “I need you to be on time for our date night,” or, “I don’t want to be touched there.” When boundaries are crossed in relationships, it’s normal to feel frustrated, disappointed, or sad. For many, it’s a great challenge to actually state boundaries out loud due to fear of judgement, abandonment, or rejection. But people aren’t mind readers, and that’s why rules and boundaries must be made explicit – and the sooner, the better. In this article, we’re going to dive into how to set boundaries, especially when it comes to open relationships.
A look at the curious ways the English language deals with nudity.
We are big language nerds over here at Everything To Sea. We love sharing and comparing the nuances and idiosyncrasies that exist in English versus other languages. In fact, altogether our team can speak 8 different languages, including German, French, Indonesian, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, Javanese, and English. We couldn’t resist sharing excerpts from a blog written by Paul Rousse, editor of Naturist Travel/H&E Naturist. He takes a deep dive into the various ways that people have used the English language to describe nudity, from the coarse and comical to the polished and old-fashioned.
There are many so-called “sexual health experts” out there, including family members, religious leaders, and burnt out health class teachers. And unfortunately, much of the information that we get from these “experts” is laced with shame. In this blog, we’d like to reintroduce you to our gorgeous friend, masturbation, with a body-positive and research-based outlook. Later, we’ll touch on a couple of trending topics related to male masturbation, including the NoFap movement and semen retention.
